Terms and conditions

These terms apply to your use of astixs.com, your Astix customer account, and freight shipments booked with Astix Inc ("Astix"). By using the site or booking a shipment you agree to them. A signed agreement or rate confirmation with Astix takes priority over these terms where they differ.

Using the website and your account

• Give accurate information and keep your contact details up to date.
• Keep access to your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Don't misuse the site, attempt to access other customers' information, or interfere with its operation.
• We may suspend accounts that are used fraudulently or in violation of these terms.

Quotes

Quotes are based on the information you provide and are valid for the period stated on the quote. If the actual weight, dimensions, freight class, addresses, dates or service needs differ, the price may change. Accessorial services such as liftgate, residential delivery, inside delivery, appointments, detention, layovers, storage and redelivery are billed as listed in your quote or rate confirmation.

Shipper responsibilities

• Describe the freight accurately on the bill of lading, including any hazardous materials.
• Package, label and palletize freight so it can be handled and transported safely.
• Load and secure freight unless Astix is hired to load.
• Have the freight ready during the confirmed pickup window.

Bill of lading

Every shipment moves under a bill of lading. Its terms, together with these terms and any rate confirmation, make up the contract of carriage.

Liability and claims

• Cargo liability is limited as stated on the bill of lading or rate confirmation, unless you declare a higher value and purchase additional coverage before pickup.
• Inspect freight at delivery and note any visible damage or shortage on the delivery receipt before signing.
• Report concealed damage promptly after delivery.
• Written claims must be filed within nine months of delivery, or of the date delivery should have occurred.
• Astix is not liable for delays or losses caused by events outside its control, such as weather, road closures, acts of authorities, or incorrect information provided by the shipper.

Invoices and payment

Invoices are due on the terms shown on the invoice. You can view your invoices in your account. Late balances may delay future bookings and may be referred for collection.

Intellectual property

The Astix name, logo and website content belong to Astix Inc and may not be used without permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable federal transportation law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed.
