This policy explains what information Astix Inc ("Astix", "we", "us") collects through astixs.com and our customer account, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Astix Inc is located at 1423 Broadway, Suite 1077, Oakland, CA 94612, and can be reached at info@astixs.com.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, company, email address and phone number when you request a quote, send us a message or create an account.
- Shipment information: pickup and delivery addresses and ZIP codes, dates, freight descriptions, piece counts, weights, dimensions, special handling needs and any notes you provide.
- Account and billing records: shipments booked under your account, tracking status, invoices, amounts, due dates and payment status.
- Google Sign-In: if you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We do not receive your Google password and we do not access your Gmail, contacts, files or any other Google data.
- Technical information: basic information your browser sends, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, which our hosting provider uses to deliver and secure the site.
How we use information
- To price, book, move, track and invoice your shipments.
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
- To send quote confirmations, invoices, shipment updates and replies to your messages.
- To keep business, tax and transportation records required by law.
- To protect the site and our customers against fraud and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Google user data
Astix's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use your Google name, email address and profile picture only to sign you in and identify your account. We do not transfer this information to others except as needed to provide the service, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.
Who we share information with
- Drivers and carrier partners who need pickup and delivery details to move your freight.
- Service providers that run parts of our service for us: website hosting (Netlify), customer accounts and database (Supabase), email delivery (Resend), sign-in (Google) and payment processing when you pay an invoice. They may use your information only to provide those services to Astix.
- Authorities when required by law, regulation or legal process.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. When you sign in, your browser stores a sign-in token so you stay signed in. Signing out removes it.
How long we keep information
We keep account, shipment and invoice records for as long as your account is active and as long as needed for legal, tax and claims purposes, typically up to seven years. Quote requests that do not become shipments are deleted after two years.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your profile in your account at any time.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing info@astixs.com. We may keep records we are legally required to keep.
- You can remove Astix's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account settings under "Third-party apps and services".
- California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to not be discriminated against for using these rights.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections, and each customer can only see their own shipments and invoices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify account holders by email.
